ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – For the second day in a row, Kay Kay Wright earned a player of the week accolade. One day after being tabbed as the American Athletic Conference’s honoree, Wright was named the U.S. Basketball Writers Association Ann Meyers Drysdale Women’s National Player of the Week.
On Monday, the Orlando native became the first Knight to earn multiple Player of the Week nods since UCF joined The American in 2013-14. On Tuesday, she became the first Knight to earn a national accolade since Aliyah Gregory was named to the NCAA Team of the Week in 2017.
