UAB Wins Nailbiter at South Florida, 62-61

UAB women's basketball (12-6, 3-3 American) snapped South Florida's (11-8, 4-2 American) seven game home winning streak with a 62-61 victory in Yuengling Center on Tuesday night.

The win marks the first victory against USF since 2003 when the Green and Gold beat the Bulls 62-58 on February 1 in Tampa.

Journey Armstead and Eleecia Carter combined for 32 points with each recording 16 points, with Carter's 16 points being a season-high. Carter was 6-of-7 in the field goal range and 4-of-5 from behind the arc and Armstead went 4-of-8 from the field and 8-of-8 at the free throw line.
