UAB Overpowers Alcorn State 41-3

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Jacob Zeno threw two touchdown passes and Lee Beebe added two rushing touchdowns as UAB rolled to a 41-3 win against Alcorn State Thursday night at Protective Stadium.

Zeno, who ranked second nationally in completion percentage last season, connected on 23 of his 33 passes for 215 yards and was intercepted once. Blazers head coach Trent Dilfer noted his displeasure at his team's offensive performance following the game, but UAB nonethless gained 517 yards, had 32 first downs and didn't punt until late in the third quarter.

The defense did its part with five sacks and eight tackles for loss, keeping the Braves out of the end zone and limiting the visitors to 177 total yards.
