FORT WORTH, Texas — No. 3 UAB defeated No. 2 North Texas, 66-56, in the semifinals of the 2025 American Men’s Basketball Championship Saturday afternoon, March 15 at Dickies arena in Fort Worth, Texas.
With the win, the Blazers (22-11) will face No. 1 Memphis in the Championship final on Sunday, March 15, at 3:15 p.m. ET/2:15 p.m. CT on ESPN and ESPN+.
UAB opened up the first half with a 14-2 run over six minutes, taking a 10-point lead (30-20) heading into halftime. The Blazers shot 41.4 percent (12-29) from the floor, with Ja’Borri McGhee scoring 10 points.
