PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Two teams from The American were selected for the NCAA Women’s Soccer Championship, the NCAA Division I Women’s Soccer Committee announced on Monday. UCF and USF will compete for the 2017 Women’s College Cup.
UCF will host Washington State to open the tournament. The Knights clinched the regular season conference title to host The American Championship. A scoreless double-overtime draw vs. USF in the finals ended in a 5-3 shootout in favor of the Bulls, resulting in a runner-up finish for the Knights.
