At one point during last weekend's season-opening weekend of the reborn XFL, P.J. Walker completed a touchdown pass to Mekale McKay in TDECU Stadium in a game in which June Jones was one of the head coaches.
Needless to say, the American Athletic Conference has made its mark on the XFL.
Walker, the former Temple signal-caller, was the highlight of the league's opening weekend. He completed 23 of 39 passes, finishing with 298 total yards and four touchdowns for the Houston Roughnecks. That performance made Walker the first XFL Star of the Week.
Your FIRST EVER #XFL Star of the Week is @XFLRoughnecks QB PJ Walker.
