IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly women’s basketball honors, for the week ending Sunday, Jan. 31.
Player of the Week
Rebecca Lescay * Sr. * G * Tulsa
Lescay earned her first career double-double, scoring 21 points and adding 14 rebounds in a 68-59 Tulsa victory over East Carolina on Jan. 30. Lescay shot 10-of-17 from the floor (.588) and chipped in three assists and two steals in the win against the Pirates. She erupted for 13 points and six boards in the second half alone, helping Tulsa push ahead from a seven-point halftime lead.
