IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly football honors for the week-ending Sept. 10.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Davis Brin • Sr. • QB • Tulsa
Brin led Tulsa to a come-from-behind win against Northern Illinois – the 2021 MAC champion – with a career-high four touchdown passes in a 38-35 victory against the Huskies. Brin completed 19 of 32 passes for 322 yards and engineered a pair of fourth-quarter drives that put Tulsa ahead. His 1-yard TD pass early in the fourth quarter gave the Golden Hurricane a 31-28 advantage, while his 31-yard pass to the 1-yard line with 1:01 left allowed the Golden Hurricane to take the lead for good.
