PINEHURST, N.C. – Tulsa capped off a wire-to-wire victory on Tuesday at the 2021 American Athletic Conference Women’s Golf Championship, carding a final-round score of 6-over-par 294 to thwart a three-peat bid from Houston. The Golden Hurricane posted a three-day total of 888 (293-301-294) to capture the American Championship on the grounds of Pinehurst No. 6.
It was the 13th conference championship victory for Tulsa all-time and its first as a member of The American. The Golden Hurricane will represent the conference as its automatic NCAA Regional qualifier, reaching the NCAA tournament for the 18th time since 1993.
