PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly women’s basketball honors, for the week ending Sunday, Jan. 6.
Player of the Week
Krystal Freeman * So. * F * Tulane
Freeman repeated as the Player of the Week, putting forth a career performance as the Green Wave opened conference play with a 68-57 win over ECU. She led all scorers with 17 points and pulled down 20 rebounds, the fourth-highest single-game total in American Athletic Conference history. Freeman’s rebounding line included half on the offensive end of the floor and is one of just 16 20-plus rebound outings nationally this season.
