IRVING, Texas - On the heels of a history-making season that included an American Athletic Conference title and a win in the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic, the Tulane Green Wave has been ranked No. 9 in the final Associated Press poll of the 2022 season.
Tulane was ranked No. 14 in the national polls entering Bowl Season, but the Green Wave gained five places for the final ranking thanks in part to a thrilling 46-45 win against USC in the Cotton Bowl. That gave Tulane its first win in a New Year's Six-caliber bowl since the 1934 season and left the Green Wave with a final record of 12-2.
