NEW ORLEANS - Quarterback Jonathan Banks capped a 19-play, 75-yard drive with a 4-yard touchdown run with 23 seconds left to give Tulane a 21-17 win against Army Saturday afternoon at Yulman Stadium.
The Green Wave converted three fourth downs on the game-winning drive, including a fourth-and-1 from the Army 6-yard line with 47 seconds left, as head coach Willie Fritz went for the win in regulation instead of settling for a tying field goal.
The gamble paid off when Banks scored on a keeper to the right side on the next play.
