NEW ORLEANS - Darian Mensah passed for 205 yards and two touchdowns in his collegiate debut and Rayshawn Pleasant scored on a 100-yard interception return to lead Tulane to a 52-0 win against Southeastern Louisiana Thursday night at Yulman Stadium.
The victory gave new Tulane head coach Jon Sumrall his first win on the Green Wave sideline and improved his career head coaching record to 24-4.
Mensah was one of three Tulane quarterbacks to see the field Thursday as the redshirt freshman completed 10 of 12 passes, guiding a Green Wave offense that scored touchdowns on six of its first seven possessions.
