Three From The American Selected for the NCAA Women's Soccer Championship

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Three teams from The American were selected for the NCAA Women’s Soccer Championship, the NCAA Division I Women’s Soccer Committee announced on Monday. UConn, Memphis, and SMU will compete for the 2016 Women's College Cup.

UConn will host Albany to open the tournament. The Huskies won the conferences' automatic bid to after defeating SMU 1-0 to claim The American tournament crown. The Huskies only lost one match at home this season and are riding an eight match winning streak into the tournament.

Memphis will travel to take on Arkansas in the round of 64.
