Three American Softball Student-Athletes Named Academic All-America

IRVING, TexasThree American Athletic Conference softball player have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America Team, announced by the organization on Tuesday.

Wichita State placed designated player CC Wong on the Academic All-America first team, while outfielder Addison Barnard was a second team selection. Charlotte pitcher Georgeanna Barefoot was named to the third team.

Wong was named The American Player of the Year after hitting .470 on the season with 14 home runs and 50 RBI. In addition to Academic All-America honors, Wong was selected as an All-American by the NFCA, Softball America and D1 Softball.
