IRVING, Texas – Three American Athletic Conference teams were among the 29 squads that were selected for the 2021 NCAA Division I Women's Lacrosse Championship Sunday.
Florida, which won the American Athletic Conference Championship Saturday, earned the league's automatic bid and was tabbed as the No. 6 national seed. Temple and Vanderbilt were among the 14 at-large selections. The American ranked fourth among all conferences with three teams in the field, behind only the ACC (six), Big Ten (four) and CAA (four).
Florida was selected as one of the eight seeded teams that will host the first and second rounds of the tournament.
