Temple Clinches No.1 seed in Conference Tournament with Win over Memphis

PHILADELPHIA -- Jaylen Bond scored 15 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Temple past Memphis for a 72-62 win Thursday night.

Quenton DeCosey added 13 points for Temple (19-10, 13-4 American), Josh Brown and Devin Coleman had 12 each and Obi Enechionyia 10. The Owls shot 41 percent and had 17 assists on 26 field goals.
Temple opened with a 9-1 run that included a 3-pointer from Coleman and led the rest of the way, taking a 39-30 advantage into the break.

Memphis (16-14, 7-10) chipped away in the second half and cut the deficit to three with Avery Woodson's 3-pointer to make it 60-57 but it was as close the Owls got.
