Strong Start Pushes Pirates Past Florida Atlantic, 49-14

GREENVILLE, N.C. -- Katin Houser accounted for six touchdowns as East Carolina raced to a 35-7 halftime lead on its way to a 49-14 win against Florida Atlantic Thursday night at Dowdy-Ficklin Stadium.

The Pirates improved to 2-0 under interim head coach Blake Harrell, who has seen East Carolina combine for 105 points and 1,081 yards of offense in the two wins. East Carolina stands at 5-4 overall and 3-2 in American Athletic Conference play.

East Carolina scored touchdowns on its first three drives and needed only two plays from scrimmage to take a lead it would not relinquish.
