IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly women’s basketball awards for the final week of the 2022-23 regular season.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Elena Tsineke, Sr., G, South Florida
Tsineke scored a game-high 28 points - the most by an American Athletic Conference player in the final week - to lead South Florida to an 85-55 win at Cincinnati and complete a 15-1 showing in conference play for the Bulls. Tsineke shot 71.4% from the field, making 10 of 14 shots, and was 6-of-7 from the free throw line while she added five assists in 31 minutes against the Bearcats.
