IRVING, Texas – Two players from the American Athletic Conference capped the 2021 softball season by earning National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-America honors on Wednesday afternoon. South Florida pitcher Georgina Corrick and Wichita State shortstop Sydney McKinney each claimed NFCA All-America Third Team accolades on the eve of Thursday’s opening day at the 2021 Women’s College World Series.
Corrick earned her second straight All-America scroll, to go along with a second-team nod in 2019. She is the third USF pitcher to be named NFCA All-America in The American since 2014, along with Sara Nevins (2014 third team) and Erica Nunn (2016 second team).
