Shockers Advance Past USF on Wednesday Morning

CLEARWATER, Fla. – Alec Bohm’s two-run double in the top of the seventh inning broke a 1-1 tie and sent No. 7-seeded Wichita State to a 4-3 win against No. 2-seeded USF Wednesday morning in the American Athletic Conference Baseball Championship presented by Visit St. Pete/Clearwater at Spectrum Field.

Wichita State (35-19-1), playing in its first American Athletic Conference Championship, moves into the winners’ bracket, where the Shockers will face the winner of Wednesday’s game between No. 3-seeded UConn and No. 6-seeded Cincinnati at Spectrum Field. The Bulls (32-19-1) will face the UConn/Cincinnati loser at Robin Roberts Field.
