IRVING, Texas – Rice senior Shaun Kerry has been named to the Men’s Track and Field/Cross Country Academic All-America Second Team, as announced by the College Sports Communicators on Wednesday, July 10.
A native of Driffield, East Yorkshire, England, Kerry was an honorable mention All-American after finishing 19th in the hammer throw at the 2024 NCAA Outdoor Championships. He placed second in the hammer throw at the 2024 American Outdoor Championships and third in the weight throw at the 2024 American Indoor Champs.
Kerry posted a cumulative GPA of 3.83, graduating in May with a degree in neuroscience and psychological sciences.
