PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of its weekly men’s and women’s tennis honors for the week-ending Feb. 17.

Anghel was a combined 6-0 in singles and doubles play to lead ECU to three dual match wins on the road last week. Anghel won all three singles matches in straight sets from the No. 2 position and paired with Simon Labbe to take three doubles victories at No. 3. Anghel was a 6-3, 6-1 winner against UConn, a 6-4, 6-4 winner against Boston University, and won 6-3, 6-4 against Bryant, improving the Pirates’ dual match record to 10-1.
