IRVING, Texas – On the heels of its first American Athletic Conference title in women’s tennis, Memphis will join UCF as The American’s representatives in the 2022 NCAA Women's Tennis Championship, which begins May 6 and 7.
The Tigers, whose only previous NCAA tournament appearance came in 2013, will head to Auburn, Alabama, for its first-round match, where Memphis will face Georgia Tech. A win against the Yellow Jackets would send the Tigers to a second-round matchup against either Jackson State or No. 13-seeded Auburn.
UCF will make its eighth NCAA Championship appearance and will play in the national tournament for the fourth consecutive season.
