MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Quarterback Brady White threw four more touchdown passes and Memphis' defense forced four tunovers, allowing the Tigers to pull away for a 41-29 win against Temple Saturday afternoon at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium.
White, who threw six touchdown passes in the Tigers' win against UCF a week earlier, threw for 313 yards on 17-of-36 passing against Temple. Calvin Austin accounted for 184 of those yards on six receptions, including a 65-yard touchdown in the third quarter that gave Memphis the lead for good.
The Tigers trailed 15-10 at halftime, but reeled off 17 straight points in the third quarter as Austin's big play came less than a minute after Riley Patterson had hit a 42-yard field goal.
