PROVIDENCE, R.I.--Memphis baseball sophomore Hunter Goodman, fresh off earning American Athletic Conference Player of the Week honors, has earned national plaudits from three major outlets.
Goodman has been named the NCBWA National Hitter of the Week, the Perfect Game/Rawlings National Player of the Week and the D1Baseball/AstroTurf National Player of the Week.
Goodman turned in a career series against Western Illinois last weekend in helping the Tigers to a 4-0 mark on the week.
Throughout the Tigers' four-game slate, Goodman posted 24 RBI. In the three-game set against Western Illinois, Goodman produced 22 RBI behind four home runs - three of which were grand slams on each day - two doubles, seven runs scored and also stole a base.
