IRVING, Texas – Three American Athletic Conference volleyball players were honored by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) on Wednesday, earning All-America status.
UCF’s graduate outside hitter McKenna Melville earned First-Team All-America selection, while Houston’s junior libero Kate Georgiades and senior outside hitter Abbie Jackson garnered Honorable Mention selections.
Melville, the three-time American Player of the Year, earned her fifth All-America award and first First Team Selection. She become the first UCF First Team Selection and joins Cincinnati’s Jordan Thompson (2019) as the only other American player to be named to the First Team.
