IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly football honors for the week-ending Oct. 22.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Clayton Tune • Sr. • QB • Houston
Tune threw five touchdown passes to lead Houston to a 38-20 win at Navy. He staked the Cougars to a 21-7 halftime lead with three TD passes in the first half and had a pair of second half touchdowns to help Houston answer the Midshipmen’s comeback bid. Tune completed 21 of 30 passes for 261 yards and added 43 rushing yards to finish with 304 yards of total offense.
