Houston junior guard Quentin Grimes has been named to the John R. Wooden Award presented by Wendy's Late-Season Top 20 Watch List.
In 2020-21, Grimes has been a leader for the Cougars, who have posted a 15-1 overall record and lead the American Athletic Conference with an 10-1 mark. Houston now stands at No. 5 in both national polls, the program's highest ranking since the 1983-84 season.
This season, Grimes leads the Cougars and ranks third in the American Athletic Conference with 16.8 points per game and is tied for seventh in the league with 6.
