PALM COAST, Fla. – No. 28 Houston shot a 2-over-par 290 during the final round, the lowest round of the day, to win the 2016 American Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championship by 10 strokes Tuesday afternoon at Hammock Beach Resort & Golf Club in Palm Coast, Fla. The Cougars finished the three-day event with an 894.

The Cougars shot rounds of 319, 285, and 290, and placed three individuals among the top-10. No. 32 East Carolina finished second with a three-round total of 904 (309-301-294), while USF was third with a 910 (311-298-301).
