Houston, Cincinnati Continues To Lead Through Day Two

DALLAS – Houston holds first place in the six-team women’s competition after day two of events with 299 points, followed by Cincinnati (257), ECU (237), SMU (204), UConn (203) and Tulane (145). The four-team men’s field is led by Cincinnati with 296 points, followed by ECU (259), UConn (233) and SMU (219).

In the 500-yard freestyle, SMU’s Johnathan Gomez established a pool record with a time of 4:19.26, surpassing his own previous mark of 4:30.21 this season. On the women’s side, Cincinnati’s Sara Wanasek (4:52.50) edged teammate Katelyn Qualls (4:55.98) to earn 20 points for the Bearcats.
