Four From The American Named to AP All-America Teams

IRVING, Texas - Four American Athletic Conference players were recognized with All-America status by the Associated Press Monday afternoon, including two players who earned first-team accoldades.

Cincinnati cornerback Ahmad Gardner and Houston defensive back Marcus Jones were both AP First Team All-America picks. Cincinnati cornerback Coby Bryant and East Carolina cornerback Ja'Quan McMillian were named to the second team.

The All-America selections continue a remarkable run of postseason honors for American Athletic Conference players. Jones was named as the winner of the Paul Hornung Award as the nation's most versatile player, while Bryant earned the Jim Thorpe Award as the nation's top defensive back.
