PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The 2019 college football season officially came to an end Monday with the College Football Playoff National Championship Game. And while LSU was making history by finishing the season at 15-0, the American Athletic Conference ended the year by breaking some new ground of its own.
Four American Athletic Conference teams were ranked in the final Associated Press top 25, marking the first time in the seven-year history of the league that The American closed the year with four ranked teams.
In fact, only the Big Ten (six) and SEC (five) had more ranked teams than The American.
