IRVING, Texas – Five American Athletic Conference men’s soccer teams have earned bids to the 2022 NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer Championship. FIU, SMU, Tulsa, South Florida and Memphis are all headed to the national tournament.
The five teams selected is the second most among all conferences, trailing only the ACC.
FIU (13-4-1), the 2022 American Athletic Conference Championship winners, earned the No. 10 seed and will have a first-round bye. The Panthers will face the winner of New Hampshire (14-4) and Seton Hall (7-3-7) on Sunday, November 20. This marks the 11th trip to the NCAA Championship for FIU.
