IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly swimming and diving awards.
SWIMMING ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Arielle Hayon, Senior, Rice
Hayon won two events against SMU on November 9, including the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 53.79, the top time in the conference this season. She also won the 200 butterfly in a time of 2:00.44.
FRESHMAN SWIMMING ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Ava Portello, Rice
Portello captured two events against SMU on November 9 with both times ranking first in the conference this season.
