IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly men’s soccer awards for the week ending Sunday, September 18.
Offensive Player of the Week
Stephen Afrifa, Sr., F, FIU
In the first American Athletic Conference match for FIU, Afrifa helped the Panthers take down No. 10 Tulsa by scoring two goals in the 3-0 win over the Hurricane.
Defensive Player of the Week
Lasse Laursen, So., D, Charlotte
Laursen played all but five minutes in the two clean sheet victories for the 49ers last week.
