PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly baseball honors for the week ending April 21.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jared Triolo * Jr. * 3B * Houston
Triolo hit .583 (7-for-12) in a 3-1 week, which included a 4-1 victory over No. 7 Texas A&M and a series win against Cincinnati, pushing the Cougars into third place in American standings. Triolo had three hits in Games 1 and 3 of the weekend series against the Bearcats, adding four RBIs, three runs scored, four walks, two stolen bases and a double on the week.
