PROVIDENCE, R.I. – American Athletic Conference Commissioner Mike Aresco has announced the appointment of senior associate commissioner Donna DeMarco as the league’s Chief Operating Officer, effective July 1, 2017.
As senior associate commissioner of administration, DeMarco has been responsible for the day-to-day management of the Conference office and its 30-plus staff members and is the primary liaison and administrator to its 13 member institutions. She assists Commissioner Aresco with the overall administration and management of all conference matters, and oversees the fiscal, legal, human resources and business affairs of The American. She also works with the Commissioner and the Conference’s chief financial officer in constructing the league’s annual operating budget.
