PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league's weekly men's basketball honors for the 14th week of the college basketball season.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Corey, Davis, Jr. - Houston - Sr. - G - Lafayette, La.
Davis led then-No. 12/12 Houston to victories over the two top teams from The American Coaches Preseason poll with victories at UCF and against then-No. 25/23 Cincinnati. The senior guard had a career-high 26 points at UCF on 8-of-13 shooting with three rebounds and five assists. He followed up the performance with a team-high 16 points with six rebounds, an assist and two steals in a nationally-ranked battle against the Bearcats as the Cougars claimed sole possession of first place in The American standings.
