PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Three individuals from American schools won their NCAA Cross Country Regionals and earned a spot in the NCAA Cross Country Championships next week. Tulsa’s men’s team is the only school from The American to automatically qualify for a spot in the championships.
The day began in Tallahassee, Fla., where 2016 American Cross Country individual champion Anne-Marie Blaney from UCF won the South Regional with a time of 20:07.2. Blaney crossed the line one second faster than Auburn’s Veronica Eder. Blaney is the first Knight to ever win a regional race and shaved six seconds off of her winning time at the American Cross Country Championships.
