HOUSTON, Texas – American Pitcher of the Year Georgina Corrick struck out nine Memphis batters on Thursday morning as No. 1 USF defeated the eighth-seeded Tigers 8-0 in the quarterfinals of the 2019 American Softball Championship.
Corrick allowed two baserunners, hitting Gracie Morton in the fourth inning and allowing a one out single back up the middle by Alyssa Dean in the top of the sixth.
Meghan Sheehan’s RBI single opened the scoring for the Bulls in the bottom of the third, followed by a Lindsey Devitt bases loaded walk.
