HARTFORD, Conn. - Cincinnati used a balanced attack to roll past Tulsa, 80-61, in the third quarterfinal of the Frontier Communications American Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Championship.
Kyle Washington led Cincinnati (28-4) with 21 points on 8-of-10 shooting and Jacob Evans finished with 20 points, also on 8-for-10 shooting, including 3-for-3 from the three-point line. Troy Caupain chipped in 15 points of his own for head coach Mick Cronin’s Bearcats.
The game was tied at seven early on but Cincinnati pulled away as the first half progressed, taking a 40-25 lead in to halftime.
