PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly indoor track and field honors for the week ending February 10.
MALE TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Obi Igbokwe * Sr. * Houston * Houston, Texas
Igbokwe had two stunning performances over the weekend at the Clemson Tiger Paw Invitational. Making his 400-meter dash debut for Houston after transferring from Arkansas, Igbokwe ran the fastest time in the NCAA this season and shot atop the world leaderboard after clocking 45.35 seconds on Friday.
