USF pitchers held Texas State to three hits, and AnaMarie Bruni hit a three-run homer over the right field fence to give USF its second shutout win this season. In the bottom of the second inning, Lindsey Devitt and Meghan Sheehan each drew walks before Bruni connected on her three-run shot for her first career home run. Georgina Corrick, Nicole Doyle and Cheyenne Eggens combined for the Bulls first shutout of the season with Corrick earning her fifth win of the season and Eggens earning her first save of the year.
