PROVIDENCE, R.I. – A conference-record thirteen individuals from six separate American softball teams were tabbed to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division I All-Region Teams on Thursday. Houston and USF led The American with three honorees apiece, as all three selected Bulls were named as First Team recipients.
Thirteen is the most All-Region plaudits for The American in its five seasons of softball, bettering the previous high of 11. UCF, Memphis and Tulsa all placed multiple players on the list, with American Player of the Year Mackenzie Wright representing Wichita State for the first time on her career.
