PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly men’s and women’s golf honors for the eighth week of the spring golf season.
MEN’S GOLF PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jimmy Hervol – UConn – Sr. – Hopkinton, Mass.
Hervol posted a top-10 finish in a field of 81 golfers at the Clemson Invitational and finished seventh overall with to help UConn to a sixth-place finish at the prestigious event. The Huskies’ senior got better every round and went low in the final two with a 68 on day two prior to a 64 in the final round as he his 8-under mark tied the lowest round of his career.
