PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference Board of Directors has announced that the contract of Commissioner Mike Aresco has been extended through June 2022.
In extending Commissioner Aresco’s contract, The American’s presidents and athletic directors lauded his efforts in organizing the reinvented conference four years ago and in elevating its national profile and brand, and articulating a powerful vision for its future.
“Mike Aresco has done an outstanding job of leading the American Athletic Conference through its early years and I am very happy that he will continue on with us,” said Susan Herbst, President of the University of Connecticut and Chair of The American’s Board of Directors.
