IRVING, Texas – Tulane men’s basketball player Sion James has been named as the Chair of the American Athletic Conference Student-Athlete Advisory Committee as the conference announced its 2022-23 SAAC Executive Board.
James, who enters his junior year at Tulane in 2022-23, will additionally serve as The American’s representative to the NCAA Division I SAAC, which reports directly to the NCAA Division I Council. One of only 32 student-athletes on the NCAA Division I SAAC, James is the first men’s basketball player and the first student-athlete from Tulane to serve as The American’s national representative.
