49ers Take Down Elon 2-0 in Midweek Action

The Charlotte men's soccer teamrecorded its third straight shutout, and the offense registered its first multi-goal game in nearly a month in the 2-0 victory on the road at Elon.

The 49ers improved their record to 8-1-4 overall, while dropping the Phoenix to 8-6-1. Charlotte completed its non-conference portion of the schedule with an unbeaten mark of 5-0-3.

Grant Stewart and Brigham Larsen scored to give the Niners their first two-goal game since September 27. Defensively, Leonard Stritter earned four saves, and defender Ryan Dunn picked up the team's fifth save to preserve the 49ers' third consecutive clean sheet and seventh in the past nine games.
