15 American Student-Athletes Claim NCAA Cross Country All-Region Honors; Tulane Men Punch Ticket to NCAA Championships

IRVING, Texas – Student-athletes from across the American Athletic Conference competed at regional sites on Friday attempting to qualify for the 2024 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Course in Verona, Wisconsin on November 23. A total of 15 American athletes claimed all-region honors as a top-25 finisher at their respective regional championship meet.

The Tulane Green Wave men’s team finished in second place in 10K in the South Central Regional to earn a team spot at the NCAA Championships. Jack Jennings (5th Place), Bernard Cheruiyot (6th Place), Illia Kunin (10th Place) and Wondu Summa (24th Place) all earned All-Region honors on the men’s side for the Green Wave.
